Where is the Diangana question now
The first thing to say is that I was as disappointed as most WH fans when he went. Also of course it is impossible to know how he would have performed in our side. The simple question that I have is if he had stayed would he have been in our present team? Also is his sale now looking like a good deal?

Not fair when you are in a struggling team

Re: Where is the Diangana question now
It’s still really early days and he was always going to struggle to have a huge impact for them in the Premier League.

It could well end up being a decent bit of business but I think that would be more luck than judgement from our point of view.

I’ve got a feeling that the plan was always to ‘upgrade’ Diangana to Benrahma and we’ve definitely got the better player right now. That’s not to say that Diangana is poor at all, he’ just needs more games at the top level.

Benrahma looks TWICE the player...

Hope he delivers for us soon...

Re: Where is the Diangana question now
Some people have taken a position on this and are desperate to be proved right. I bloody hope Benrahma is the second coming as many are building him up to be, but he’s played a few mins so far. In that time, he showed a bit of promise and then gave away a pen. Let’s give it a bit more time before making any judgements.

Re: Where is the Diangana question

I’m judging them both on what they’ve done in their career so far, not just this season. Benrahma is undoubtably the better player up to now. In an ideal world, we’d have both.

Re: Where is the Diangana question now
Fuck me Tex, thats a bit bold, how much playing time has Benrahma had in C&B or in the PL? Yet your saying he looks twice the player Diangana is...........

Re: Where is the Diangana question now
I said at the time it was a good sale for us, my West Brom mate said he was class but I knew he couldn’t make the step up. Too lightweight! You don’t get that much time on the ball in prem

To those questions I’d say.
Diangana would definitely would not be in our regular team.
To early to say if it was a good or bad deal.
Always sad to sell promising academy player.

Re: Where is the Diangana question now
Keeping Snodgrass and selling Diangana doesn’t make any sense no matter how Diangana is doing with WBA.

Re: Where is the Diangana question now
Well it did make sense on a number of levels. Snodgrass is also being used in CM rightly or wrongly and we have minimal cover there so he's still useful to us. We would not have got much of a fee for Snodgrass and there was a mug willing to pay over the odds for Diangana. Diangana also isn't very good.

So yeah it did make some sense.

£18 mil for him, or fuck all for snodgrass. That’s the only sense you need to know in that one

"Where is the Diangana question now"

Still there. Just like the Benrahma (the guy who replaced him for pretty much the same amount) question is still there.

That was the whole point.
